Kanjorski (PA-11) today announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program application period has begun and will end at 5 p.m. on May 4. Grant applications are available online at http://www.firegrantsupport.com/, http://www.usfa.dhs.gov/, and http://www.grants.gov/. An applicant tutorial is available online. Congressman Kanjorski was among 286 cosponsors of the FIRE Act of 2000. More than $11.5 million in federal grants has been awarded to fire companies in the 11th congressional district since the FIRE grant program began.
